February 26, 2013 – Harris, N.Y. – WSUL/WVOS raised more than $65,000 for Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) on Saturday, February 23, during the 35th annual Heart-a-Thon, which broadcasted live from the hospital’s Garden Level Café.
“WSUL/WVOS goes above and beyond in putting this event together, and their passion for this cause shows,” said J.P. McGuirk, CRMC’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “CRMC would like to thank WSUL/WVOS, all of the volunteers who dedicate their time to making the event a success and all of the donors. We are very grateful to be in such a caring community.”
The funds raised from this year’s event will be used toward the purchase of new telemetry units for the 5th floor. The telemetry system provides wireless bedside monitoring between a central station and patient, and continuous surveillance for ambulatory cardiac patients.
Contributions to the Heart-a-Thon are still being accepted. To make a contribution, please send a check or money order made payable to: WVOS/WSUL Heart-a-Thon, Box 628, Monticello, NY 12701, or by visiting www.scva.net.
