CENTRAL VALLEY, NY, April 21, 2017 – Woodbury Common Premium Outlets today announced its Spring 2017 More Than Pink movement in support of Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer. As part of its pledge to donate $1 million each year in 2017 and 2018, more than 180 participating Simon Malls, The Mills and Premium Outlets nationwide will be participating in a range of activities during the months of April and May.
“It has been wonderful to see the positive response that the More Than Pink movement has generated over the past year,” said Kristen Esposito, Simon’s Vice President of Tourism and Marketing Alliances. “Our shoppers, retailers and employees have embraced the opportunities we’ve offered to support Susan G. Komen in its tireless efforts to reduce breast cancer deaths, and we look forward to continuing that momentum this year.”
Visitors to Woodbury Common will notice the pink theme carried out at the Guest Services booths and staff will be donning pink accessories. The campaign kicked off on April 10 and will run through May 31, with shoppers having the opportunity to support Komen while enjoying savings at participating stores with the Discount Card Program.
In exchange for a $10 donation to Susan G. Komen, shoppers will receive a Discount Card, available at Guest Services, providing a 25 percent discount on one item, and is in addition to the everyday savings of 25 percent to 65 percent that shoppers would normally receive at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. Participating stores include Theory and Theory Men, Rag & Bone, PUMA Outlet, OshKosh B’gosh, Tommy Hilfiger, UGG, Reebok, Lucky Brand, LeSportsac, Lacoste, Kate Spade New York, Vineyard Vines and Maje Paris. All Discount Card donations go to Susan G. Komen.
“We are pleased to support Susan G. Komen, and we hope that our customers’ kind donations will help impact this great cause,” said Stephanie Johnson, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. “Through the More Than Pink movement, we are supporting Komen’s Bold Goal of reducing current breast cancer deaths in the U.S. by 50 percent in the next 10 years.”
As of April 2017, Simon has raised $441,667 in support of Susan G. Komen, all generated through the support and participation of shoppers, retailers and employees.
