The Warwick-based distillery offers New York spirits and small bites
CENTRAL VALLEY, N.Y. (May 30, 2017) — Woodbury Common Premium Outlets introduced its first standalone bar on property on Memorial Day weekend, welcoming one of the Hudson Valley’s premiere wine and spirits maker that offers the best of New York drinks and snacks to shoppers.
The Black Dirt Bourbon Barn, a subsidiary of Warwick Valley Winery, serves cocktails, beer, cider and wine, and features a seasonal cocktail list of both classic cocktails and drinks invented by the Warwick, N.Y.-based Black Dirt Distillery. It also serves snacks such as charcuterie, cheeses and hummus.
Any cocktail enjoyed at the Barn is available for purchase as a kit to take and make at home. Tastings are also offered for purchase of the spirits, wine, beer and cider available at the Barn.
The opening marks another success for Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, adding to the shopping and dining experience at one of the world’s foremost tourism destinations for elite brands. The Outlets now offers a selection of 240 first-class shopping options for visitors, all with a savings of 25 percent to 65 percent every day.
“We always try to improve the shopping experience at Woodbury Common. Good food and drinks are important components of that experience, and it is only natural that we bring the best of the Hudson Valley to our shoppers,” said David Mistretta, General Manager of Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. “The Black Dirt Bourbon Barn offers shoppers an opportunity to relax and get a true taste of the Hudson Valley.”
Approximately 12 feet by 18 feet, the Barn is located in the Hudson Valley section of Woodbury Common and is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. An outdoor patio seats 36 people, though there is plenty of standing room inside the Barn, where a tap room and a tasting bar are located.
The Black Dirt Bourbon Barn carries products from Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery, of which it is a subsidiary, including Black Dirt Distillery Bourbon and Applejack, Warwick Gin, Doc’s Cider, American Fruits cordials and Warwick Valley Winery wine.
The Barn also carries spirits from as many as six other New York producers, as well as beers and a handful of other wines. All the drinks available at the Barn are available to take home in a bottle or can. A selection of other New York-produced items is also available for sale, including pickles and maple syrup, as well as cocktail equipment and mixers.
