MONTGOMERY, N.Y. (May 3, 2013) – In the coming months Walden Savings Bank will be selling cookbooks to raise funds to help further cancer research and save lives. The cookbook is a combined effort that incorporates more than 200 recipes from nearly 50 employees, and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
The cookbooks are available for $10 each and will be on sale at each of the bank’s 11 branches throughout Orange and Ulster counties. They may also be purchased at the June 8 and 9 Relay for Life events, which will be held at the Pine Bush Town Park and Cronomer Park in Newburgh. As they have done in previous years, Walden Savings Bank will once again participate in the Relay event with teams of several dozen employees.
“Our staff has come together to share their most treasured family recipes and favorite meals to create a one-of-a-kind piece that we’re pleased to share with our community,” said Derrik Wynkoop, President and CEO of Walden Savings Bank. “We’re thrilled to be able to contribute to such an incredible and worthy cause, and we’re honored to continue our participation in the Relay for Life event.”
