KINGSTON, NY (May 9, 2013) – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein is proud to announce that Ulster County’s Tourism Department’s innovative promotional video has received a Telly Award for excellence in “Regional TV & Multi-market Cable in Travel/Tourism.”
The “Ulster County Playground” video, which was created in conjunction with the UlsterCountyAlive.com: Revitalizing Ulster County’s Tourism Economy campaign, was awarded the 2013 Bronze Telly.
“Ulster County’s video showcases the best of what our county has to offer, from the beautiful landscapes to the sense of adventure, fine local dining and abundant options for outdoor recreation,” said County Executive Mike Hein. “The winning video exemplifies what makes this such a great place to live and visit, and we hope everyone will visit UlsterCountyAlive.com and check it out.”
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honor excellence in film and video productions, groundbreaking online video content and outstanding local, regional and cable television commercials and programs from across the country. Entries are judged by a distinguished panel of past top award winners, who make up the Silver Telly Council. Judges evaluate entries to recognize distinction in creative work and score entries on a performance scale.
“Receiving this national award is a great honor,” Hein said. “Ulster County is working hard to enrich our tourism industry, and this award is recognition of our success. We look forward to continuing the Ulster County Alive! campaign and reaching new measures of success.”
