Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation Present Indoor Winter Activities

Stay active and warm in Winter Months with Adult Pickle Ball and Indoor Walking

LIBERTY, N.Y. (November 5, 2018) – Despite the swiftly approaching cold weather, the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Department has started two programs to help residents and non-residents stay active during the cold, winter season.

Adult Pickle Ball is available to residents in a friendly, high-spirited and competitive social atmosphere. The program will run from now through March and is hosted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is held at the Liberty Middle School gym from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The cost for Liberty residents is $10 and the cost for non-residents is $20.

An Indoor Walking program has also launched to help residents and non-residents stay active during the winter months. The program is available November 1, 2018 through the end of March and is hosted on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. It is held at the Liberty High School from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The cost for Liberty residents is $10 and the cost for non-residents is $20.

“The cold weather is fast approaching, and the Town of Liberty Parks and Rec Department wants to provide residents with plenty of opportunities for having fun and staying healthy,” said Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Assistant Recreation Director James Guara. “These two programs are the perfect opportunity for those interested to get out there, have some fun, and stay active despite the weather.”

Both programs will be closed if the Liberty School District closes due to inclement weather. For more information, call 845-292-7690 or visit the Town of Liberty’s website: www.townofliberty.org.
