LIBERTY, N.Y. (December 11, 2018) – With the winter season now in full swing, it’s a great time of year to explore all the skiing that Sullivan County has to offer. Residents in the Town of Liberty can take advantage of the Parks & Recreation’s special ski pass program, offering two passes for the price of one.
For the 2018-2019 winter season, residents can enjoy family skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing at Villa Roma Ski Hill. Villa Roma Resort, located in Callicoon, is a perfect spot to hit the slopes. As part of the Liberty Parks & Recreation special ski pass program, lift tickets, rentals and lessons are all $10 per person. Snowtubing takes place on Fridays for $10 per person and on Sundays for $15 per person. Guests must be 43’ tall for skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing.
Residents can also relish in winter fun at Holiday Mountain Ski Park, located in Monticello. With four lifts and over 60 acres of skiable terrain, it’s a great choice for skiing and snowboarding. The Liberty Parks & Recreation ski pass program affords residents with lift tickets and ski rentals for $13 per person as well as snowboarding rentals for $20 per person. Group and private lessons are also available. Children eight years old and older can receive a group lesson for $15 per person, six and seven years old can take a group lesson for $26 per person and private lessons for five years and younger are $70 per person. Snowtubing is available in a two-hour session for $15 per person. All skiing and snowboarding at Holiday Mountain Ski Park takes places from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
“We are so excited to be able to offer our residents with the ski pass program again, said Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Assistant Recreation Director James Guara. “Not only is a great deal, but it’s also the perfect time of year to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and much more.”
To take advantage of these rates, Liberty residents must purchase a Liberty Parks & Recreation ski ID card for $10, which is a one-time fee, before going to either venue. Ski ID card purchases can be made at the Liberty Parks & Recreation office.
