ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. (Dec. 17, 2021) – Orange County, N.Y.’s free print travel guide is back, with 56 pages of activities, events, places to sip a craft beverage, visit the past or ride the latest amusement-park attractions.

The colorful booklet is packed with information about the region’s abundance of recreational and leisure opportunities: cycling, skiing, soaring in a hot air balloon, shopping, antiquing, enjoying the performing arts, and visiting breweries, distilleries, cideries and wineries. It also boasts comprehensive listings about places to stay, and sites that boast centuries of history. Prominently featured is everything travelers and adventure seekers need to know about Orange County’s newest world-famous destination, LEGOLAND®, the Northeast’s newest theme park.

“There are endless opportunities for everyone to enjoy in Orange County, N.Y., from the spontaneous thrill-seekers looking for a great time in the spur of the moment, to those who plan their leisure time well in advance,” said Orange County Tourism & Film Director Amanda Dana. “This guide is perfect for helping you plan your own day or enjoy one of the suggested itineraries – and to learn some history and fun facts along the way!”

The 2022 guide includes a new feature: an Orange County tourism map with charming illustrations and dotted with the locations of historical sites, craft-beverage establishments, farm-to-table dining, golf courses and more.

The magazine also is jam-packed with information about Orange County, including fun facts and a Top 10 list of the county’s highlights. Learn about Henry Hudson’s arrival on the ship Half Moon in Cornwall Bay in 1609, or where iconic comedienne Lucille Ball made her stage debut. (The Ritz Theatre in Newburgh, N.Y.) Find out why Pine Bush in the community of Crawford is known as “the UFO capital of the East Coast.” Explore the craft-beverage scene, built on the region’s produce grown in the famously fertile black dirt agricultural lands.
