Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (Sept. 30, 2011) – HVFCU Financial Services at Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union will conduct seminars on understanding and maximizing Social Security benefits. Attendees will learn key facts about Social Security and how to navigate the decisions surrounding the program, including how benefits are calculated; what is full retirement age; and how to choose the right time to file. The seminar will also provide information on the pros and cons of receiving benefits while working, provisional income, tax implications, as well as options for spouses and ex-spouses.
