More than 20 singer songwriters scheduled to appear
Roscoe, N.Y. (July 28, 2017) – The Roscoe Singer-Songwriter Festival, presented by Big V Entertainment, will be held on Saturday, August 12 at Roscoe Beer Company, located at 145 Rockland Road in Roscoe, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Admission is free.
“We are so proud to be a part of this festival, which gives singer songwriters a special platform to perform their unique work,” said Big V President Phil Vallone. “We have been fans of the Key West Singer-Songwriter Festival and wanted to bring a taste of that to Roscoe. This will be a wonderful experience people will remember and to have this event in this beautiful part of New York State makes it even more memorable.”
The one-day festival, the result of a mother’s search for the perfect mother/son wedding song, showcases singers and original songwriting. It brings unique songwriting and creativity to Sullivan County, N.Y., which was home to the world-famous 1969 Woodstock Festival site. Roscoe is located just two hours from New York City, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The festival will feature multiple stages with simultaneous music showcasing original work by the singer songwriters, with the finale performance by Jessica Allossery. Her song, “I’ll Never Let You Go,” was the impetus for the festival’s creation.
One artist will be selected to have access to professional studio time with Carriage House Studios in Stamford, Connecticut. That studio time will be memorialized with a photo shoot by music professional Jimmy Ienner Jr., the festival’s operations director.
Ienner is a photographer, videographer and visual artist and is president and founder of United Productions Co, where he serves as executive producer, photographer director, cinematographer and editor, specializing in creating music videos, documentaries B2B videos and indie shorts. He is also co-chair of the Visual Arts Committee of the Recording Academy NARAS (Grammys) for Video Direction and an adjunct graduate professor at Fordham University.
As Chief Photographer/Video Director at Sony Music Entertainment Inc. for nearly two decades, Ienner worked with hundreds of the biggest talents in the business. From the 1990’s to the late 2000’s he was one of the most published photographers in the entertainment industry. His photography portfolio runs full spectrum, including artwork seen on and inside dozens of CD and DVD covers, as well as publicity photos, tour merchandise, assignments on several major feature films, and music videos. Ienner’s work in video has appeared on television and cable networks, and the internet throughout the world.
Ienner has photographed or directed a variety of clients, from artists such as Roger Waters co-founding member of Pink Floyd and Mariah Carey, to actors including Peter Boyle and Kevin Bacon, and even world leaders like George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. He was sought out by Apple Inc. for his expertise in photography and videography as well as his natural ability to be a team leader, instructor and mentor. From 1990-2003, Ienner served as an A&R consultant to Columbia records and Sony Music Entertainment Inc.
The selected artist will also be given the opportunity to speak with music professional Dave Santaniello to gain industry insights and advice.
Originally at Arista and then Columbia Records, Santaniello created the first brand partnership department at a major label for Columbia in 1991. He created brand deals for Bob Dylan, Train, Mariah Carey, James Taylor, Jessica Simpson, John Legend, The Fugees, Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, Ricky Martin, Aerosmith and John Mayer. He joined UEG in 2015 as senior vice president, Rights & Partnerships, Music Practice Lead, heading up the efforts in integrated music partnerships, from strategy to activation, for UEG, Edelman and Zeno Group.
