Roscoe, New York (July 8, 2013) – Roscoe Beer Company, located in Roscoe, N.Y. is proud to announce it has filed an application with the federal government to brew on its premises, bringing the days of tapping its own brew closer to fruition.
On June 15, the Roscoe Beer Company officially filed its brewers permit application with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. Once approved, a similar application will be filed with the New York State Liquor Authority for approval. Upon approval from both regulatory agencies, Roscoe Beer Company will be able to brew its own product on their premises.
“With a brewer’s permit, it will be easier for us to experiment with new styles, sell our products out of our location and easily participate in farmers markets and brew festivals,” said Donna Vallone, member of the Roscoe Beer Company. “The new styles of beer will complement the hugely successful initial offering of its Trout Town American Amber Ale.”
Roscoe Beer Company recently purchased a top-of-the-line Pilot Brewing System similar to the one used by the Dogfish Brewery to develop its styles. Currently, Trout Town American Amber Ale, brewed and bottled by the Adirondack Brewing Company in Lake George, N.Y. and distributed by Roscoe Beer Company, is available in the stores, restaurants and pubs in Roscoe and surrounding areas.
Roscoe Beer Company will be looking for a location in Roscoe to build a bigger brewery in the future to meet the growing needs of its customer base.
“Once we get to the point of building our brewery, the investment we make in our business and in our town will be significant,” added Elaine Fettig, member of Roscoe Beer Company, and former president of the Roscoe-Rockland Chamber of Commerce. “From the beginning this project was born out of a love for our town and a passion for a good beer and we are dedicated to providing the best product for our customers now and in the future.”
