Performance indicates a strong dedication to safety and sound maintenance standards
South Fallsburg, N.Y. (May 25, 2017) – Rolling V Bus Corp., a Sullivan County-based passenger transportation company, announced today that it has once again exceeded their annual New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Bus Inspection requirements with a 96.2% pass rate.
The New York State Department of Transportation requires all school bus fleets to be inspected twice a year and pass with a rate of 90% or higher. During the vehicle inspections, which were performed during the last State Fiscal Year (April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018), NYSDOT identified the number and percentage of vehicles that passed or were placed Out-of-Service (OOS) due to one or more OOS defects. Rolling V achieved a 3.8% OOS rate.
Superior performance during this inspection indicates a strong dedication to safety and commitment to maintenance standards and practices. Since the inception of this program in 1998, Rolling V buses have surpassed performance goals set by the state, continuing to garner praise for meticulous safety protocols.
“The safety and upkeep of our buses is a key concern for us,” said Phil Vallone, President of Rolling V. “We want provide our clients with safe and reliable service and receiving high scores from our New York State inspection reaffirms that we are doing just that.”
