Sullivan County-based school bus operator promotes Nicole Dungey as Safety Director, Valerie Mott as Safety Officer
South Fallsburg, N.Y. (June 24, 2014) – Rolling V Bus Corp., a Sullivan County-based bus transportation company, is proud to announce the promotions of Nicole Dungey to the position of safety director and Valerie Mott as safety officer.
A Rolling V employee for more than 15 years, Dungey will now oversee day-to-day operations and long-term planning for Rolling V’s safety department from its headquarters in South Fallsburg. Mott, who has 14 years with the company, will help enforce Rolling V’s existing and future safety regulations.
“Rolling V likes to promote from within and both Nicole and Valerie have proven themselves as a great assets to our safety team,” said Rolling V Bus Corp. President Phil Vallone. “We are a growing company and their experience will help us continue to build successful safety programs for our drivers and our young riders.”
Dungey followed in the footsteps of her mother, who drove Rolling V school buses for 20 years. Nicole started her career with Rolling V as a bus monitor, eventually obtaining a CDL to become a school bus driver. Mott brings 14 years of school bus driving at Rolling V to her new role, as well as three years of CDL class instruction.
“It’s been a great ride so far,” said Dungey. “We are constantly brainstorming new ideas for driver and rider awareness programs. It’s my goal to build upon the existing top-notch safety culture here at Rolling V and I look forward to the challenge.”
Vallone added, “Safety is and always will be our number one priority here at Rolling V. Even though we post record safety statistics with New York State every year, we’re always looking to raise the bar.”
