Fallsburg, N.Y. – Rolling V Bus Corporation, a passenger transportation company based in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, is pleased to announce the opening of its new Walton, N.Y. transportation terminal.

Rolling V recently constructed a 3,000-square-foot maintenance and dispatch facility on at 177 Industrial Park Road in Walton, the new base of its Delaware County operations. The new facility, which employs 16 local residents, includes a multi-bay garage and mechanics shop with office and training space, and will enable the company to effectively serve all points in Delaware County with school bus service, medical transportation and charter service.

Phil Vallone, president at Rolling V Bus Corp., said, “Delaware County now has transportation options beyond those that are available through the municipalities, such as school districts. Having options reduces the pressure on those existing operations that may be spread pretty thin whether it’s due to manpower or funding and it provides the people of Delaware County with new transportation possibilities.”

The new facility was fitted with state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly energy technology, including a spray insulation system and radiant floor heating system with an Energy Star-rated Vitorond 87 percent efficiency boiler for maximum productivity.

The project was completed through coordination with the Delaware County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), which owns the Walton Industrial park. The IDA subdivided three acres this past July and Rolling V promptly started construction of its new facility.

Bill Willis of the IDA, said, “The IDA is always looking for businesses seeking economic development growth and job creation while providing a valuable community resource in Delaware County. Rolling V is a proven job creator in Delaware County and New York State and we’re pleased to assist in its expansion efforts.”

Walton Town Supervisor Bruce Dolph added, “We are glad to have the services that Rolling V offers to the residents of Walton and Delaware County. It’s a great asset to our community and we hope they have many years of success.”

Rolling V Bus Corporation is a proud member of the New York School Bus Contractors Association and the American School Bus Council. The company is family-owned and operated by the Vallone and DeSabato families. The Vallone family has been in the passenger transportation business for more than 50 years.
