ROLLING V AND GERSHOWITZ CONTINUE TO INVEST IN IMPROVING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Sullivan County-based companies start off the school year with safety promotions and new transportation vehicles

South Fallsburg, N.Y. ( Sept. 28, 2011) – Rolling V Bus Corp. and Gershowitz Transportation, both Sullivan County-based bus transportation companies, continue to invest in improving customer service with new, updated vehicles and major internal promotions.

Gershowitz Transportation recently put into service nine new 2012 model year school buses to serve the Liberty and Tri-Valley Central School districts. The buses, purchased from Leonard Bus Sales in Deposit, N.Y., are equipped with the latest low-exhaust emission technology, as well as improved safety features, including LED lighting that provides clearer visibility from the driver’s seat, and electronically controlled automatic crossing arms.

“Gershowitz Transportation is committed to the communities it serves and feels fortunate to be able to provide the students of these communities with the best transportation possible,” said President Phil Vallone. “This service includes well-trained drivers and the best equipment on the market.”

Rolling V is proud to announce the appointment of Ken Engle, of Roscoe, N.Y., as Head of Safety & Training. Engle, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and father of two, has been employed with the company since 1991, previously head of the Maintenance Department. During his tenure in this position, the companies established one of the best New York State Department of Transportation safety inspection ratings in the state.

Chris Reebe and Rich Nead have assumed the responsibility of Area Maintenance Managers for Rolling V & Gershowitz Transportation. Both men have been employed with the company for more than 10 years and have proven track records in their fields.

“Rolling V and Gershowitz are extremely dedicated to the communities they serve,” added Vallone. “Safety is, and always has been, our No.1 priority, and promoting our best safety officers and upgrading our equipment is part of our ongoing safety initiatives.”

Rolling V and Gershowitz are proud members of the New York School Bus Contractors Association and the American School Bus Council. The companies are family-owned and operated by the Vallone and DeSabato families. The Vallone family has been in the passenger transportation business for more than 50 years.
