Resorts World Catskills Spotlights Local Talent with October Entertainment Schedule

Upstate New York’s newest commercial casino resort brings comprehensive live-music schedule; free and open to the public, guests must be 21 or older

WHAT:           

Resorts World Catskills, New York’s newest and closest integrated casino resort to Manhattan, has announced a comprehensive entertainment line-up for October.

The casino resort will host a line-up of celebrated Hudson Valley performers each week throughout the month. Each act will bring entertainment, energy, and excitement to all those enjoying the casino resort’s 100,000 square feet of Las Vegas style gaming. Guests must be 21 or older to attend the events.

Resorts World Catskills is the cornerstone of a $1.2 billion project that will include the casino resort, a planned entertainment project, an indoor waterpark lodge, and an 18-hole Rees Jones designed golf course. The luxury casino resort features the region’s most extensive Las Vegas style gaming options, first-class amenities and luxury accommodations.

Friday, October 5: The John Bates Band kicks off the weekend at 6:00 p.m., with sets of feel-good party music, classic rock and soul, love songs and Top 40 dance hits from every era. Grammy nominated singer songwriter Karen Anderson takes the stage at 10:00 p.m., to heat up the scene and captivate the audience with her soulful voice.

Saturday, August 6: Piranha Brothers, an exciting new band from the Hudson Valley, will get your feet moving at 6:00 p.m. with your favorite classic rock tunes from the 60, 70s and 80s. At 10:00 p.m., it’s CloudNYne, a good-time party band that delivers a crowd-pleasing mix of hits from yesterday to today.

Tuesday, October 9: Trio Two performs at 8:30 p.m., bringing an eclectic mix of pop, rock and funk dance music with them, as well as a little contemporary jazz and swing when the mood calls.

Friday, October 12: Little Rock returns at 6:00 p.m. with its catchy mix of bluesy, swampy Americana roots music.

Saturday, October 13: OKTOBERFEST! It’s an early start at Bar360 as The Adlers Band take the stage at 12:00 p.m. to kick off our Oktoberfest celebrations in cultural style – a blend of Austrian, German and American music makes The Adlers Band one of the best Oktoberfest-Party Bands in the U.S. today! Cruise Control, follows at 6:00 p.m., performing dance party and rock & roll hits. Bosco & the Storm follows at 10:00 p.m. with high energy dance music, R&B, rock and the top 40 hits of today, as well as a dash of 70’s disco.

Sunday, October 14: OKTOBERFEST! 18-time Grammy Winner, and Florida, New York’s own Jimmy Sturr and His Orchestra bring their exciting music to Resorts World Catskills’ Oktoberfest at 4:00 p.m. Sturr’s polka legacy has been built playing worldwide and coast to coast in prestigious venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Grand Ole Opry.

Friday, October 19: Bluesman Slam Allen brings his message of love to the Bar 360 stage at 6:00 p.m. with soul, R&B, and of course the blues. Nikki Briar Band is back again at 10:00 p.m. with her strong vocals and high-energy music.

Saturday, October 20: HeatedXchange performs at 6:00 p.m., breaking out all of the greatest classic covers from every genres and decades. Crowd Theory follows at 10:00 p.m. to keep the dance party going with all the hits you know and love, from Bon Jovi to Bruno Mars and beyond.

Friday, October 26: At 6:00 p.m., it’s time for Crash and Byrne, an acoustic duo from Beacon, New York performing an eclectic variety of songs from the 50s through today from artists like Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Oasis, Tommy Tutone, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Creedence Clearwater Revival and many more. The John Bates Band takes over at 10:00 p.m., with their mix of party tunes from every era of the classic rock, soul and Top 40 catalogs.

DoubleTop Bar & Grill

Sunday, October 14: Our Oktoberfest celebration continues in the DoubleTop Bar & Grill, with Mountain Xpress. The band delivers high energy German, Polish and American-style music that can transform any venue into a festhalle. Come enjoy their biergarten-inspired music and stage show beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Thursday, October 4: Bosco Solo entertains beginning at 5:00 p.m. with his take on R&B, rock, 70’s disco and today’s Top 40 hits. Bosco is part of what has been billed as “the top dance party band in the Hudson Valley for the past Ten years.”

Thursday, October 11: The Differents take the lounge stage at 5:00 p.m., playing acoustic rock covers from James Taylor to Keith Urban and more.
