Hundreds of job candidates flock to interview for 1,400 open positions;
Orange County job fair scheduled for Goshen on Saturday
MONTICELLO, N.Y. (Dec. 15, 2017) – Hundreds of applicants flocked to a job fair in Rock Hill hosted by Resorts World Catskills on Thursday, Dec. 14. They were vying for the approximately 1,400 open positions at the resort casino set to open in the Town of Thompson in Sullivan County in mid-February.
Resorts World Catskills executives were at the Ramada at the Sullivan Event Center throughout the day, accepting applications and interviewing candidates for a variety of employment categories ranging from housekeeping, food and beverage, hotel operations, cage cashiering operations and finance to security, marketing and slot operations. Successful candidates received conditional offers of employment[1].

When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday December 16
Where: Emergency Services Center, 22 Wells Farm Road, Goshen, N.Y.
A job fair is also planned in Ulster County in the coming weeks.

Specific jobs will include housekeeping attendants, sous chef, bartenders, IT technicians, EMTs, security officers, cashiers, cooks and servers, among others.
Resorts World Catskills announced on Thursday it anticipates the opening of the resort casino will occur in time to herald in the Lunar New Year, with celebrations commencing in mid-February 2018.
About the Company
The Company was awarded a gaming facility license by the New York State Gaming Commission to develop and operate a resort casino to be located at the site of a four-season destination resort being developed in the Town of Thompson in Sullivan County, approximately 90 miles from New York City.
