MONTICELLO, N.Y. (May 22) – Resorts World Catskills, New York’s newest and closest integrated casino resort to Manhattan, celebrated its one-year anniversary with a weekend of iconic performances, private events and celebrity appearances.
Headlining the festivities was a lively performance on Saturday from legendary singer and songwriter, Paul Anka who brought his Anka Sings Sinatra: His Songs, My Hits, My Way! tour to the integrated casino resort. Celebrity chef Scott Conant hosted the official anniversary celebration with a late-night event at his Italian steakhouse, Cellaio, which featured food, dancers and a DJ set from Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.
The weekend-long celebration also featured an anniversary gala with VIP guests that featured a performance from country singer Phil Vassar. The country singer’s career has spanned more than 20 years and includes the release of six albums, two ASCAP Songwriter of the Year trophies, ACM’s Top New Male Vocalist and sold-out shows across the country.
Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort officially opened in 2018 and includes an 18-story hotel, casino and entertainment complex featuring 100,000 square feet of gaming action including 150 live Las-Vegas style table games, an expansive area focused on Asian gaming, 1,600 state-of-the art slot machines, a poker room, and private gaming salons. The luxurious hotel located within the main casino complex is comprised of 332 expansive suites, more than 10 varied bar and restaurant experiences, which includes Cellaio. Year-round live entertainment, like this weekend’s performances, takes place at the RW Epicenter, casino bars and lounges.
Since its official grand opening, Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort has also added the Crystal Life Spa and expanded the campus with additional stay and play options including The Alder, a recently opened adjacent 101-room lifestyle hotel featuring the first Topgolf Swing Suites in New York State, and Dos Gatos, a cantina-style Mexican eatery.
