RAMAPO ANESTHESIA WELCOMES TWO PHYSICIANS TO BON SECOURS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

SUFFERN, NY (June 5, 2012) – Ramapo Anesthesia (R.A.), one of the most respected and fastest-growing anesthesia providers in the northeast, has added two highly qualified and experienced anesthesiologists to its staff at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y.

The company, headquartered in Suffern, is welcoming Dr. James D. Levinsohn and Dr. Sinha Monsur to its team. R.A. has over 100 physicians and 30 CRNAs at seven hospitals in New York and New Jersey. With over 41 years of experience and some of the top anesthesiologists in the field, the company also provides care at more than 20 outpatient facilities.

Dr. Levinsohn is an experienced anesthesiologist who joins R.A. after serving as Director of Anesthesia at Murray Hill Medical Center in New York City. There, he was in charge of administration, billing, quality assurance, reporting, accreditation compliance and the direct care of patients. Dr. Levinsohn has also served as a physician with Resource Anesthesia Associates and was a clinical instructor and later assistant professor of anesthesiology at New York University Medical Center from 1995 to 2002. He received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Monsur previously served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the State University of New York, Stony Brook and before that was an attending anesthesiologist at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens. He received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Dhaka and he completed three years of anesthesia residency at NYU Medical Center in 2003. He has also been recognized as a “Leading Physician in the World” by Health Care International, in additional to various other honors, and wrote a book titled as “Essential Topics and Cases for Anesthesia Oral Boards,” available online at Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com, among others.

R.A. has gained national recognition for its work, earning the coveted “Five Star Excellence Award” from Professional Research Consultants (PRC) for its superb anesthesia services. The practice was also recognized among the “top 1 percent of the Quality Assurance Programs in the country” by the Committee on Continuous Quality Improvement and Peer Review.
