SUFFERN, N.Y. (May 18, 2012) – Ramapo Anesthesia (R.A.) is pleased to announce that Dr. Alec Fuhrman has joined its staff at St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic, N.J.
R.A. is a leading anesthesiology practice that provides services to seven hospitals and over 20 outpatient centers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Fuhrman was most recently with Riverview Anesthesia Associates at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel, N.J. Previously he was with North American Partners in Anesthesia at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Beach, N.J., where he was an attending anesthesiologist. He has also worked with Anesthesiology Associates of Boro Park, LLP in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Trinitas Anesthesia Associates, LLC in Elizabeth, N.J.
Dr. Fuhrman received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and his B.S. from Rutgers University. For his post-doctoral experience, he completed Anesthesia Residency and served as a cardiothoracic fellow at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists, the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists.
R.A. is headquartered in a 5,500 square-foot office in Suffern, N.Y., where the administrative, billing and one of its many Ramapo Pain Management and Medical Services offices are located. The group’s physician staff has tripled in the past three years and now includes nearly 100 physicians and 30 CRNAs in the tri-state area.
