April 12, 2011 (Newburgh, N.Y.) – The Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County is proud to announce it has been awarded a $25,000 membership grant from The Jewish Federations of North America. Focus Media, of Goshen, N.Y., has been chosen to spearhead the organization’s community outreach campaign.
“This organization has worked for many years to garner the financial and volunteer support of the Orange County Jewish community and, like many other not-for-profits, we could use some assistance in broadening our outreach efforts,” said Joyce Waschitz, executive director at The Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County. “We’re honored to receive this grant, which will help us achieve our business goals.”
The Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County is the coordinating and convening body dedicated to building the Jewish community, to nurturing the quality of Jewish life and to securing a favorable Jewish future in Orange County, Israel and worldwide.
The grant, provided through the Consulting Fund for Small and Intermediate Federations, allows for a variety of uses, including marketing and communication coordination. Focus Media, a full service advertising and public relations agency based in Goshen, N.Y., will spearhead a pro-active and aggressive membership drive campaign through the year.
Waschitz added, “Focus Media brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organization. The firm has proven, innovative marketing ideas that will help us increase awareness of The Federation and its mission. We can’t wait to get started!”
