Those living with chronic lung disease and their family members are invited
Middletown, NY – Orange Regional Medical Center’s free support group “Just Breathtaking” will provide information, education and discussion about living with chronic lung disease and will explore ways to adjust to living with the anxiety and depression that may accompany the illness. The group will meet the fourth Wednesday of each month starting Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Orange Regional Medical Center Community Health Education Center located at 110 Crystal Run Road, Middletown, NY 10941.
During the meetings, which run April through November, the group facilitator shares knowledge through presentations made by various lung health professionals and provides a safe space for socialization and group discussions. The Group is facilitated by Elyse Carroll, BSRC, RRT, CTTS, Manager of Pulmonology Rehabilitation at Orange Regional.
The goal of this support group is to connect people suffering from chronic lung disease to education, support and others within the community. Participants will learn better ways to cope with lung conditions while getting support from others. Just Breathtaking offers a combination of guest speakers, discussions and social activities. Led by trained facilitators, this group provides patients with the tools needed to stay healthy and active.
