ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. (September 17, 2018) – Cheers! Exploring Orange County’s many craft beverages locations is easier than ever with the launch of the ‘OCNY Craft Beverage Tour’ mobile app. Now available for free download in the iTunes and Google Play stores, the app makes it easy for iPhone and Android users to customize tours of Orange County’s craft beverage locations from their mobile devices.
Descriptions and addresses for each of the county’s wineries, cideries, breweries, and distilleries can be found within the app. Seamless integration with mobile users’ default GPS application allows their device to quickly guide them to their locations of choice. It’s not just a handy tool for mapping out trips by theme or location, it has direct links to the websites of Orange County Tourism’s craft beverage partners for up-to-date details on products, hours of operation, and fun events at each location. The app also includes transportation options that allow visitors to leave their cars at home.
“The craft beverage scene is booming in Orange County. Its continued growth has had a positive impact on surrounding local businesses, and the Hudson Valley region as a whole,” said Orange County Tourism Director Amanda Dana. “By launching this app, we’re reaching out to expand our tourism audience. It puts Orange County’s craft beverage attractions right at their fingertips.”
Orange County is home to dozens of craft beverage producers including Brotherhood, America’s Oldest Winery and Angry Orchard’s Innovation Cider House. Tasting rooms in historic buildings and vintage barns open their doors with local drink, food and fun. Gaze out at the growing fields of ingredients as you sample farm-to-glass beverages.
