GOSHEN, N.Y. (April 18, 2016) — The Glen Arden Continuing Care Retirement Community offered guests an opportunity to learn about moving and downsizing at its recent expo.
“The objective of the expo was to provide people with an effective plan on how to go about selling their home,” said Lois DiStefano, Glen Arden’s director of sales. “Start with organization, then staging, then listing. All stages of the process were well represented.”
Twelve exhibitors — ranging from stagers and organizers to real estate agents, moving companies and an elder law attorney — participated in the event. Over 50 people attended from surrounding areas.
Prior to the expo, Claudia Jacobs of Claudia Jacobs Designs, Donna Gennaro of Better Homes and Gardens, Rand Realty and attorney Maurice Giro gave a presentation on their expertise relating to this topic.
“It was a very informative program,” said attendee Rita Drewry.
Added Dorothy Smith: “I’m taking home a lot of information to think about.”
Following the presentations, exhibitors provided participants with information about their companies and answered questions.
Claudia Jacobs of Claudia Jacobs Designs was a participant at the Glen Arden Continuing Care Retirement Community’s recent moving and downsizing expo.
Also participating at the expo were Deborah Warner, left, and Connie Antona of Keller Williams Realty.
