Free event will feature Wendy Williams and The Mount Vernon All-City Choir and Orchestra
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. (December 1, 2017) —On Saturday, December 9 at Mount Vernon High School, Dr. Kenneth R. Hamilton will bring the community together for the 3rd Annual “Most Wonderful Time,” a holiday concert. There is no charge for admission, but a canned good, clothing item or unwrapped toy will be gratefully accepted to benefit hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.
This much anticipated yearly event will feature a debut performance by The Mount Vernon All-City Choir and Orchestra. Wendy Williams, host of “The Wendy Williams Show”, will be the special celebrity guest reader. And guests can also look forward to music from The Jenkins Brothers and songstress Valerie Adams.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.
“This is a great way to build community spirit and help those impacted by the devastating hurricane in Puerto Rico,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth R. Hamilton. “Music brings people together, especially around the holidays, and we are so pleased to have immensely talented performers join us for this wonderful event.”
