Ski area extends special discounts to members of the local scouting community
WARWICK, N.Y. (February 13, 2018) – Mount Peter will be hosting its annual Scout Weekend on March 10 and 11, 2018. Scouts and their families are invited to enjoy a weekend of skiing and riding with deeply discounted rates. It is Mount Peter’s way of expressing their appreciation to area scouts and scouting organizations for their dedication and service to the community.
“We’re a family-owned and operated business, so as an organization, we share many of the same values upheld by our local scouting groups,” said Carol Forshay, Mount Peter’s Director of Marketing. “Extending these discounts for Scout Weekend is our way of recognizing that, and it’s an annual event that our team really looks forward to here at Mount Peter.”
Scouts of all levels, and their immediate family members, will be able to take advantage of deep discounts on lift tickets, as well as ski, snowboard and helmet rentals on both days. The instructors of Mount Peter’s Mountain School will be offering free beginner lessons with the purchase of a lift ticket throughout Scout Weekend. An official Boy Scout merit badge counselor will be on hand to provide sign-offs.
