WARWICK, N.Y. (March 6, 2018) – Mount Peter is gearing up for its Spring Rally, the annual, all-day event packed with fun and festivities that are always the highlight of the season. This year’s Spring Rally will take place on Sunday, March 18. The theme is St. Patrick’s Day, and Mount Peter is encouraging visitors to wear green to show their spirit.
“Besides opening day, Spring Rally is the day we look forward to most here at Mount Peter,” said Carol Forshay, Marketing Director at Mount Peter. “The zany events put a fun spin on competing, and if you want to just relax and enjoy the entertainment and atmosphere, that’s great, too.”
Mount Peter has planned plenty of creative contests to enter, including an Obstacle Course for young competitors, which will have plenty of bumps and jumps. A Big Air Contest will be judged on style, execution and landing, and a Rail Jam Contest judged on style, execution and flow. The Wacky Waterski Contest challenges skiers and snowboarders to build up speed on the mountain’s Wild West run to try and make it across a manmade pond at the bottom. And, for something completely different, the Cardboard Sled Race invites racers to build and pilot their own cardboard sleds down the mountain.
The HotSpot grill will be open and there will be an outside bar. There will be activities, games and music emceed by DJ Jay Bird, as well as a magic show by Max the Magician. Popular local bands, Spitball Parade – northern Jersey’s premier classic, hard rock and metal cover band – and Shutter will be performing live.
