Area residents selected from nationwide applicants
MONTICELLO, N.Y. (June 12, 2012) – Monticello Motor Club (MMC) is proud to announce the addition of two Sullivan County residents to the staff, continuing its commitment to hiring local whenever possible.
After receiving applications from across the United States, MMC recently welcomed Amy Nagoda from Forestburgh and Jacklyn Katzenberger of Liberty to the team.
“We are doing our part to help Sullivan County grow by providing jobs to people right here in our community,” said Ari Straus, President of MMC. “We were fortunate to find Amy and Jacklyn, two highly qualified individuals for these positions. They both bring a wealth of enthusiasm and dedication to our team, and we’re thrilled to have them aboard.”
Katzenberger, hired as a member concierge, graduated from the University of Albany in 2009, earning a BBA with a focus on marketing and management. After college, she worked for Robert Green Chevrolet-Oldsmobile, Inc. before serving as the marketing coordinator for Monticello Casino and Raceway. There, she gained experience in developing effective marketing materials for direct mail, newspaper, radio and television, while also learning how to develop, implement, track and evaluate the cost-effectiveness of all internal and external advertising and marketing. In her spare time, she plays in the Sullivan County Women’s Softball League and enjoys spending time at the gym.
Nagoda, who is the new communications intern, lives with her parents and two brothers. In high school, she was the Community Unity student ambassador and worked at the Forestburgh Playhouse box office. She currently attends the College of Saint Rose in Albany with a major in communications, focusing on public relations and marketing.
Nagoda has been involved with MMC since 2010, managing its website and Facebook page and assisting in various concierge duties. She has experience planning events, assisting in direct mail campaigns and working with local public relations firms on projects and events.
“Jacklyn and Amy are examples of exceptional talent right here in Sullivan County,” said Straus, “and MMC is proud to offer opportunities that attract and keep great people right here in the Catskills.”
