MONTICELLO, N.Y.– (November 15, 2012) – As a local, community-minded business, the management of Monticello Casino and Raceway is committed to making the holidays a little brighter for area kids by hosting the Toys for Tots program.
U.S. Marine Corps service members will be stationed at Monticello Casino and Raceway on November 30, December 1, 9 and 14 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., where they will personally collect new, unwrapped toys and donations for the program.
Toys for Tots collection boxes will also be prominently displayed at the main and bus entrances of the casino beginning November 30th. Monetary donations of cash or checks will also be accepted. Additionally, the gift shop at Monticello Casino and Raceway is selling Toys for Tots Trains until December 14th, with a minimum requested donation of $1.00.

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program collects new, unwrapped toys each year and distributes them as holiday gifts to needy children within the local community. From 1991 – 2005, the U.S. Marines Corp Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation supplemented local toy collections with 64.5 million toys through local campaigns around the nation.
