NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (November 8, 2019) — Mobile Life Support Services, the largest emergency medical provider in the Hudson Valley, has announced that Angel Aguilar, from Newburgh, N.Y., has been promoted to the position of Controller.

He has been the Accounting Supervisor since 2016 and will continue his responsibilities of handling accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial statements. As Controller, he will oversee Mobile Life’s Accounting Department and handle more responsibilities with financial reporting and cash management, in addition to other daily accounting and finance operations.

Aguilar started as a college intern doing accounts payable work at Mobile Life from 2011 to 2012. He graduated with a bachelor’s in 2012 and a master’s in business administration in 2018, both from Mount Saint Mary College. He started his professional career at Mobile Life as a Staff Accountant, and stayed in that position until he was promoted to Accounting Supervisor in 2016.

“Angel has been a great addition the Mobile Life Support team,” said Mobile Life VP & Chief Financial Officer, Tim Scannell.  “His ability to look at issues from different perspectives and his understanding of the human side of healthcare will make him an excellent Controller here.”

“I like the family environment that’s been created here,” Aguilar said. “There is an emphasis on employee development and I am very thankful that Mobile Life has afforded me these opportunities. We care for one another and have respect for each other here at Mobile Life, and that shows through in our mission to provide the highest quality emergency medical service throughout the Hudson Valley.”

Aguilar’s parents came to America from Mexico in 1988 and settled in Newburgh. They raised five children, all of whom graduated with bachelor’s degrees in different fields from Mount Saint Mary College after they attended Newburgh Free Academy. Two of his brothers – Oswaldo Aguilar and Hipolito Aguilar – currently work at Mobile Life as an Accounting/Finance Analyst and Reimbursement Services Supervisor, respectively. A third brother – Kevin Aguilar – worked at Mobile Life from 2012 to 2017 doing clerical work and as a Billing Specialist, before enrolling in the Newburgh Police Department, where he is now an officer.
