Mobile Life Support Services Announces Spring Educational, Certification and Training Courses for Medical Practitioners, Community Members

NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (February 25, 2019) — Mobile Life Support Services, the largest emergency medical provider in the Hudson Valley, operates a full-service EMS and Community Training Division for medical professionals, as well as community members, and has announced its course schedule for Spring 2019.

Serving multiple counties in the region, Mobile Life’s courses support the educational needs of the medical community as well as the certification, credentialing and continued proficiencies required of its staff. To ensure its staff of more than 500 emergency medical service professionals is equipped with the most up-to-date protocols and procedures, Mobile Life covers the full cost of registration, certifications and related fees, such as textbooks, for its employees to participate in its variety of educational courses. Courses offered at the company’s New Windsor, N.Y., headquarters are open to members of the area’s emergency services as well as the general public.

Upcoming courses hosted by Mobile Life include those listed below. Please note, many of these courses are offered several times throughout the Spring. A full course calendar is available on Mobile Life’s website at www.mobilelife.com/calendar. 

EMS Safety, Monday, March 11, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: This one-day course serves to increase EMS practitioners’ awareness and understanding of EMS safety standards and practices and develops their ability to effectively implement them. Cost is $125.00 for non-Mobile Life employees.

Advanced Medical Life Support, Tuesday, March 12 and Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: This two-day, 16-hour certification course consists of interactive lectures, teaching and evaluation stations to teach medical practitioners of all levels how to best assess and manage the most common medical crises in patients. Cost is $250.00 for non-Mobile Life employees.

Basic Life Support CPR, Friday, March 8, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: This three-hour course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Cost is $75.00 for non-Mobile Life employees.

Geriatric Education for EMS Core Provider, Thursday, March 14, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: This one-day, eight-hour course provides EMS practitioners with the skills and knowledge to handle the unique medical, social, environmental and communications challenges of older adults. Cost is $125.00 for non-Mobile Life employees.

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Designed to decrease preventable deaths in a tactical situation, this two-day, 16-hour course teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment. Cost is $250.00 for non-Mobile Life employees.

Emergency Pediatric Care, Monday, April 8 and Monday, April 15, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: This two-day, 16-hour certification course is designed to provide all levels of practitioners with better training and resources to best treat sick and injured children in the field. Cost is $250.00 for non-Mobile Life employees.

All Hazards Disaster Response, Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.: This one-day, eight-hour course is designed to prepare EMS practitioners how to analyze potential threats, assess available resources and create a response plan that will save lives during disaster scenarios. Cost is $125.00 for non-Mobile Life employees.

Mobile Life is a Course Sponsor for the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, a Community Training Center for the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) as well as an approved Course Provider for the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) educational programming.
