Area winery becomes founding member of organization
NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (March 8, 2012) – Millbrook Vineyards and Winery, the premier vineyard and winery of the region, has joined the Hudson Valley Food and Beverage Alliance as a founding member.
The winery, which recently celebrated its 27th anniversary, has been voted the “Best Hudson Valley Winery” for 15 consecutive years by readers of Hudson Valley Magazine. Its 130-acre estate has over 30 acres planted to European grape varieties on beautiful farmland, and it produces over 15,000 cases of wine each year.
The Alliance, launched by the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. (HVEDC), focuses on helping food and beverage companies in the region market their products all over the United States. It is comprised of food businesses, farmers, vegetable growers, beverage makers, distributors and other organizations in the industry.
“We are thrilled to join the Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance and take part in the latest venture of the HVEDC,” said David H. Bova, Vice President and General Manager of Millbrook Vineyards. “We feel that we can contribute positively to the food and beverage industry in our region, and showcase all of the outstanding companies the Hudson Valley has to offer in this arena.”
Millbrook Winery was founded by John S. Dyson and Bova in 1981. Today it produces a wide variety of wines, including Chardonnay, Tocai Friulano, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. Its wines are also available for sale at locations throughout the Hudson Valley.

Millbrook Winery is open daily from 12-5 p.m. for wine tours, tastings and sales. It is located in Dutchess County, just a few miles north of Millbrook.
