Focus Media Advises Mike Martucci to Victory in New York State Senate Race
When successful entrepreneur Mike Martucci sought public office for the first time, he turned to Focus Media to capitalize on the firm’s extensive, multi-tiered experience in strategizing successful political campaigns.

Martucci’s race for the 42nd State Senate District was against a popular, better-financed incumbent. Focus Media partnered with Martucci on campaign direction, identifying key quality-of-life issues for district residents, solutions-driven messaging, media buying, public relations and creative for digital, print and television advertising, among other duties.
These approaches included a decisive tactic: the launch of a major TV-advertising campaign in March 2020, eight months before the election. This substantially increased Martucci’s name recognition and platform. “We were the only State Senate race in New York running TV ads prior to the fall,” Martucci said. “Political observers have since praised our campaign for getting our message out so early to explain the differences between my opponent and me.”
