Walden, N.Y. (June 7, 2012) – Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP is pleased to announce that Michael L. Fox has been named the new chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the New York State Bar Association, one of the association’s largest sections. Mr. Fox has also just been appointed as a member of the association’s Committee on Resolutions.
Mr. Fox is a litigation managing attorney and associate at Jacobowitz & Gubits. He concentrates his practice in commercial litigation and general, federal and state civil litigation. An eight-year member of the State Bar, Fox is also the New York Young Lawyer Delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates.

Fox graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Bucknell University. He earned his law degree from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an articles editor of the Columbia Business Law Review. He is also a former secretary and treasurer of the Young Lawyers Section. He previously chaired the section’s Committee on Community Service and Pro Bono and is a member of the NYSBA Committee on the Annual Award.
