MAUREEN TORELLI TO BE HONORED AT ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION’S 17TH ANNUAL MASQUERADE BALL

Goshen, N.Y. (April 30, 2013) – Glen Arden Vice President and Executive Director Maureen Torelli will be honored at the Alzheimer’s Association’s 17th Annual A Night of Wine & Roses Masquerade Ball on Saturday, May 11 at 6 p.m. at The Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. Joseph and Maria Lepore of LCS Facility Group will also be honored.

A Night of Wine & Roses is the signature fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley/Rockland/Westchester, NY Chapter, and features cocktails and a silent auction, dinner, dancing and a live auction. The gala is held annually in the spring, and has raised more than $1 million for the organization since its inception 17 years ago.

Torelli became involved with the Alzheimer’s Association in 1998 when she began serving on the Orange County Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee (a committee in which she is still actively involved); she also served on the Alzheimer’s Association Board from 2003 to 2009. Additionally, Torelli currently serves on the Boards of Braeside Camp and Inspire, and has been a member of the Goshen Rotary Club since September 2003 (serving as President of the Club from July 2009 to June 2010).

“We select our honorees by choosing individuals who have had an impact on the community, who are ‘movers and shakers’ and are passionate about raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s disease,” said Karen Finnegan of the Alzheimer’s Association. “Maureen has dedicated countless hours to supporting our cause – through her volunteerism on our Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee and through her years on our Board. We couldn’t be happier to honor Maureen, and thank her for her years of continued service!”

Tickets for A Night of Wine & Roses are $150 each and still available, and auction items are still being accepted. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit the event’s Web site at www.wineandrosesgala.org or call 845.471.2655.
