Making a Difference: The Michael & Erin Martucci Family Foundation’s Diverse Impact in the Hudson Valley and Catskills

Philanthropic Organization Changing Lives, Brightening Futures

NEW HAMPTON, N.Y. (Aug. 24, 2020) – In under two years, The Michael & Erin Martucci Family Foundation had made a powerful, diverse impact in the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions through donations and other forms of philanthropy. It is continuing to accept applications for funding to improve and advance education, women’s and children’s advocacy, agriculture and job creation.

The foundation has donated more than $70,000 to local organizations that propel quality of life in the region. It has:

  • – Paid for and provided thousands of meals to senior citizens
  • – Made substantial cash and food donations to numerous food banks
  • – Provided money for college scholarships
  • – Supported programs benefiting veterans; children; the mentally ill; substance-abuse recovery; hospice; and survivors of domestic violence, teen-dating violence and human trafficking
  • – Honored and thanked thousands of healthcare heroes on the front lines
  • – Manufactured hundreds of protective face masks to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We created our foundation to help engineer unlimited opportunities for positive change in our communities,” said farmer and entrepreneur Mike Martucci. “We’re gratified by the benefits that have improved lives and our ability to directly connect one on one with those in need.”

Through a partnership with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, the Martucci family has committed to donate $250,000 during the foundation’s first three years. The family’s local roots and love for the region are at the heart of their efforts. Mike and Erin Martucci reside in New Hampton, Orange County, with their three children, and own a family farm in nearby Westtown.

“The Hudson Valley and Catskills have provided us with so much,” Erin Martucci said. “We are committed to giving back, helping others and shining a light on the numerous outstanding programs, big and small, that have enduring impact on our communities.”

St. Mary & St. Andrew Food Pantry in Ellenville, NY, is just one organization that has benefited from the Michael & Erin Martucci Family Foundation. “The Foundation made a generous donation when I sought financial support for food pantries in Ulster County that have been under tremendous strain during the pandemic,” said Ulster County legislator Craig Lopez. “Pastor Ken from St. Mary & St. Andrew and I are very grateful for the Foundation’s support. It will go a long way in helping local families.”

The foundation is accepting grant applications that advance its mission. Organizations in the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions can apply at MartucciFoundation.org/applicants. “We look forward to continuing to empower innovative ideas to address the needs of children and adults in the region,” Mike Martucci said.
