Mark your calendar for outdoor festival fun in Orange County, N.Y.
ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. (May 26, 2017) – Whether you want to spread out a blanket and spend the day listening to music or prefer a brisk bike ride through the countryside, there are countless ways to enjoy the warm weather in Orange County this June. Festivals highlight the beauty of the region while featuring the best in local foods and crafts.
“Festivals are our fanfare for summer,” said Orange County Tourism Director Susan Hawvermale. “Great food and entertainment are provided with a wide variety of experiences at each of these fun family events.”
Here’s a sampling of some festivals on the calendar in Orange County, NY this June:
June 3, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.: Riverfest at Donahue Park, Cornwall-on-Hudson. Full day of entertainment including children’s activities, live music, large craft and food fair. June 3, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.: Newburgh Illuminated Festival, Broadway and Liberty St. Celebrates the City of Newburgh with art, music, dance, poetry, food and much more. June 3, 11:00 am – 5:00 p.m.: Earth & Water Festival at Thomas Bull Memorial Park, Montgomery. Bring a blanket and spend the day at this unique, family friendly festival. June 11, 9:00 am – 6:00 p.m.: Farm to Fork Fondo ending at Pennings Farm Market, Warwick. A farm fresh feast from the seat of your bicycle. Ride distances from 10-100 miles with gourmet aid stations hosted by local farms and live music. Post-Ride Farm to Fork Barbecue and live music.
