MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (June 11, 2013) — Judelson Giordano & Siegel, a Hudson Valley accounting firm specializing in business advising, has announced its sponsorship of a networking and educational event for small and medium-sized businesses in the region.
The June 20 event will take place at Mount Saint Mary College from 4:30 to 8 p.m., and will feature a panel of experts from the investment, commercial banking and manufacturing sectors. It will include discussions and presentations by Chet Karwatowski, a senior technical staff member from IBM and CTO for the Supplier Connection program and Sheila Appel, Eastern Regional Manager of IBM Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs.
The Supplier Connection program helps small businesses tap into the supply chains of major multinational corporations, including IBM, Caterpillar, John Deere, Citigroup, AT&T, JPMorgan Chase, Facebook and Dell.
“JGS is proud to sponsor such an important event for small businesses in the Hudson Valley,” said Frank Giordano, managing partner. “We are dedicated to helping provide the tools and resources small businesses need to grow and hire more people in our communities. The Supplier Connection event is an excellent resource for small businesses, as it allows them to leverage the existing infrastructure of larger, more established companies.”
The Upstate Venture Association of New York has coordinated the Supplier Connection event. Other contributors include the Orange County Business Accelerator, the Southeast New York Council of Industry and the Center for Global Advanced Manufacturing. JGS has sponsored a series of small business and community organization events throughout the area.
