Focus Media executive’s session is ‘Using Social Media – Which is best for you?’
Goshen, N.Y. (May 5, 2011) – Josh Sommers, President and CEO of Focus Media, Inc., will be participating in the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation’s series of free webinars aimed at helping people build successful businesses.
Sommers’ session is titled ‘Using Social Media – Which Is Best For You?’ It is expected to be an intense hour and a half of learning how to break through the barrage of social media chatter and messages to ensure that your business gets heard.
“Is your business talking directly to your current and potential customers?” Sommers said. “Meet them where they are, where they want to be met – whether it is on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn or any number of social media outlets. And, of course, bring the right message to that platform.”
The series of webinars will be moderated by Andi Gray, President and Owner of Strategy Leaders and a weekly columnist for the Westchester County Business Journal, and will cover important aspects of building a successful business. A live in-person event that offers the opportunity to understand the changing business environment and network with other business owners will wrap up the series.
Catherine A. Maloney, Director of Business Development, said, “The webinars are a series of building blocks for business owners wanting to learn how to develop goals for marketing, using social media, knowing the labor market and succession planning.”
