Focus Media’s President CEO named honorary event chair
Goshen, N.Y. (March 2, 2011) – Josh Sommers, President and CEO of Focus Media, Inc., has been named honorary event chair of the inaugural Orange County Celebrity Dinner that will benefit the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Clubs.
Twenty teams of servers will provide their waiter/waitress skills for their friends, business acquaintances and family during the group’s first Orange dinner. The event is Friday, April 8, at the Fountains at Town of Wallkill Golf Course in Middletown. Servers will include some of Orange County’s most well-known business, civic and political leaders.
Sommers will be the event’s host and emcee. “Josh has always been a generous person,” said Alexis L. Eggleton, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs. “He has the interest of our kids at heart and that is why we chose Josh as our first honorary event chair.”
“I am honored to participate in such an event,” Sommers said. “There is something special in helping advance the programs for children of the Hudson Valley and there is no better organization to help than the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Clubs.”
The Boys & Girls Clubs have been hosting the celebrity dinners in Sullivan County for three years. The Feb. 11 dinner raised $21,000 for the organization. Eggleton’s goal for the inaugural Orange dinner is to raise $10,000.
