Mediacom Communications executive to contribute to economic development in region
NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (May 15, 2012) – The Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. (HVEDC) has announced the addition of a business intelligence and data warehouse specialist to its board of directors.
Joseph Commisso serves as Vice President of Financial Operations and Corporate Strategy for Mediacom Communications. In this capacity, he oversees the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) of the company’s enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence decision support systems.
“HVEDC is an important organization for the business community in our region, and I am very pleased to join the board of directors,” said Commisso. “The Hudson Valley is a hub for a variety of industries, including technology focused research and development. I look forward to contributing to the goals of the organization as a whole.”

The HVEDC works to develop economic growth throughout the Hudson Valley region, which includes the counties of Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland, Orange, Ulster and Sullivan.

Commisso earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University and completed the executive management program through CTAM Educational Foundation at Harvard Business School.
