Walden, N.Y. (April 17, 2014) – Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP, a Walden-based law firm that serves individuals, municipalities and businesses, is pleased to announce that Jennifer S. Echevarria, Esq., and Kelly A. Pressler, Esq., have become associates of the firm.
Echevarria will work in all areas of law focusing on the firm’s Spanish speaking clients– a fast-growing population in Orange County and the Hudson Valley. Pressler will focus on general civil ligation, complex commercial litigation and matrimonial and family law.

Prior to joining Jacobowitz and Gubits, Echevarria was an Associate with Burke, Miele & Golden, LLP, based in Goshen, N.Y. She received her Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, in 2008 from Pace University School of Law in White Plains, N.Y., where she was on the Dean’s List, Student Editor of The Journal of Court Innovation and President of the Latin American Law Students Association. Echevarria is admitted to practice in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, as well as the US Southern District. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
Pressler previously held the position of Associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley &McCoy, LLP, of Manhattan before joining Jacobowitz & Gubits. She received her Juris Doctor degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 2009 from Albany Law School where she was a member of the Albany Law Review and winner of the Outstanding Clinical Student Award, Sponsler Teaching Fellow and Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition. Pressler is admitted to practice in Federal and State courts and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
