Krueger’s financial management expertise will be an asset to the Board
Goshen, N.Y. (May 14, 2012) – Elant, the Hudson Valley’s premier provider of senior health care and housing solutions, has named James W. Krueger to its Board of Directors.
Krueger is an experienced financial professional who has worked extensively in the health care field. He is the chief financial officer of SullivanArc, a nonprofit long-term health care corporation based in Monticello that focuses on care for persons with developmental disabilities.
“Elant is an outstanding organization, and I am proud to join its Board of Directors,” said Krueger. “I look forward to contributing to Elant’s mission and to utilizing my financial management experience for the organization’s continued success.”
As CFO at SullivanArc, Krueger oversees and plans the financial operations of the organization, including the annual budget and preparation of financial statements. He is also responsible for major asset acquisitions, including real estate and large equipment. He previously served as SullivanArc’s controller, and before that was a financial consultant with Northwestern Mutual Life in White Plains.
“Jim has a strong financial management background and a deep understanding of not for profit services and their critical need in our society,” said Donna Cornell, chair of Elant’s Board of Directors. “I am sure Jim will be an energetic and knowledgeable voice to help Elant continue to provide stellar services and care to the thousands of people we serve daily.”
Krueger has an M.B.A. in Finance from Pace University and a B.A. in History from the University of California-Irvine. He is the vice president of the Financial Managers Association of New York State (FMA).
