Farmers in Orange County, N.Y. are open for business this spring.
ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. (March 30, 2017) – There are still few signs of spring’s arrival outside, but inside the barns of Orange County’s farms, there’s a bounty of local fruits, vegetables and specialty products available. These indoor farmers markets offer hardy vegetables and fruits, as well as other specialty items like New York maple syrup, jams and jellies, cider and baked goods. Some Hudson Valley farms even host farm-to-table events.
“Talk to a farmer, and you’ll learn what’s fresh and how to cook it,” said Orange County Tourism Director Susan Hawvermale. “Farm markets provide a unique cultural experience with their colorful displays of delicious local produce and products.”
