Goshen, N.Y. (Sept. 19, 2012) – At 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, two chefs from Texas Roadhouse in Middletown will cook up a storm in Glen Arden’s Crystal Dining Room, providing seniors with palate-pleasing eats. The occasion is part of a new dining series, titled “Chef Showcase,” that will take place quarterly at Glen Arden.
The Chef Showcase is open to seniors 62 and older, and admission is free. Each event will feature one or two chefs from a local restaurant (the Sept. 24 event will feature chefs from Texas Roadhouse), and will give residents and area seniors the opportunity to sample different foods.
“We’re very excited to launch this new series, and think this is something our residents and local seniors will really enjoy,” said Melissa McCoy, Elant’s Director of Corporate Initiatives. “It’s wonderful to have chefs from a local restaurant provide this special treat, and we’re grateful for everyone who has played a part in making this happen.”
George and Beth from Texas Roadhouse will prepare lunch for attendees on Sept. 24, with a small dessert and mini margarita samplings. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about all of the services and amenities that Glen Arden has to offer, and participate in a tour. Space is limited, and reservations are required.
