iHeartMedia Producer and On-air Personality Samantha Coppolino Falls in Love With Orange County N.Y. During Her Weekend Adventure

‘Producer Sam’ from “Elvis Duran and The Morning Show” got a taste of spring in Orange County, N.Y. with an adventure-packed itinerary

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – April 25, 2019 – The Orange County Tourism Department recently welcomed Samantha Coppolino, also known as ‘Producer Sam’ on the top-rated, nationally-syndicated radio program “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show,” to the county for a springtime getaway on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. Tourism Director Amanda Dana and her tourism team prepared a jam-packed itinerary full of adventures for Coppolino’s two-day visit to Orange County last weekend.

“We were delighted to have Sam join us for a fantastic, fun-filled weekend in Orange County,” said Dana. “Strategically working with a famous social media influencer like Sam allows us to showcase some of the incredible attractions and venues that we’re grateful to have in our own backyards. From locally-sourced food and drinks to hiking excursions, we enjoyed giving Sam a little taste of Orange County Spring!”

To kick-off the weekend, Coppolino joined Dana and Tourism Coordinator Stephanie Kistner at Angry Orchard in Walden for the cidery’s Adult Spelling Bee. Locals and visitors alike rounded up their smartest friends and made their way to the orchard for an evening of food, drinks and a true test of their lexicology knowledge. The unique event offered Coppolino the opportunity to sample a variety of hard ciders exclusively available at Angry Orchard’s Innovation Cider House and delicious food from Amuzae, prepared by Culinary Institute of America graduate, Chef Shawn Hubbell.

In addition, Coppolino also made pit stops at Orange County’s finest restaurants, bars and tourist attractions throughout the weekend. A few of the destinations explored, included The Wildfire Grill in Montgomery, an Orange County staple restaurant adorned with butter-yellow siding with food ranging from duck quesadillas and fig pizza to pan-seared salmon and slow roasted short ribs; the Orange County Fair Speedway for its opening night; Stagecoach Inn, Hudson Valley’s premier inn where she received overnight accommodations; the Orange County Distillery at Brown Barn Farms, which hosts a variety of events including Yoga and Cocktails; Blooming Hill Farm, where Sam had an organic, farm-fresh brunch; and Bear Mountain State Park, known for its scenic views and trails, in which Soňa Mason, West Hudson Program Coordinator for the NY-NJ Trail Conference, showed Coppolino and crew the way while sharing the rich history and exciting future plans for this public trail and more.

“It’s unbelievable how much fun I had in Orange County in such a short amount of time,” said Coppolino. “I wish I could have stayed longer – there is so much to eat and drink and view and explore. See you again soon, Orange County, I will be coming for another visit in the Fall!”
