POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (October 2, 2019) – Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. (HVEDC) announced the addition of Joseph Deglomini III, principal of Simone Development Companies, to its board of directors.
Deglomini works in the areas of office, medical, retail and industrial real estate investment throughout New York with his partner Joseph Simone. Their development team has more than 1 million square feet in various stages of planning, construction, leasing and delivery to the market.
Before becoming a principal at Simone Development, Deglomini was a partner at Tower Properties Co., a major real estate development and management firm based in the Bronx. His career in real estate began as a leasing associate at Studley, a commercial real estate firm based in Manhattan.
“We are thrilled to welcome Joseph to our HVEDC Board of Directors,” said Mike Oates, President and CEO of HVEDC. “He has a long and distinguished background in commercial real estate that will be a great asset to HVEDC. His insight will be greatly appreciated by business owners and executives throughout the Hudson Valley.”
Outside of his work with Simone Development, Deglomini has a passion for serving his community. In addition to his board membership with HVEDC, he is also on the Board of Directors at Calvary Hospital, and serves on the Bronx Chamber of Commerce. Deglomini’s other passions include his work on the Bronx Council Boy Scouts of America and the Mount Vernon Police Foundation. He also founded the Westchester Square Business Improvement District.
“HVEDC provides such support and connections for the businesses of the Hudson Valley region,” said Deglomini. “I am honored to join HVEDC and lend whatever insight and expertise I can to this tremendous organization as it seeks to empower this community.”
