GOSHEN, N.Y. (November 15, 2018) – The Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. (HVEDC) announced the appointment of Eric Diamond, Senior Vice President and Director of Group Benefits for Marshall & Sterling Insurance, to its Board of Directors.
The Poughkeepsie-based Marshall & Sterling Insurance, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned company of more than 430 insurance specialists in 24 branch offices in five states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The company is ranked 32nd among more than 40,000 privately-held insurance agencies in the United States by Insurance Journal, and boasts total annual written premiums in excess of $700 million. As Director of Group Benefits, Diamond has helped guide his division to achieve sales revenue growth to more than 300% during his nine year tenure. The new business development team at Marshall & Sterling, which he developed and lunched, has consistently driven outstanding sales growth. Diamond also serves as a Director on Marshall & Sterling’s corporate board, playing a pivotal role in the governance and successful growth throughout the entire firm.
Prior to Marshall & Sterling, Diamond served as President of JS Diamond Group, Inc., overseeing business development, administration and marketing. A United States armed services veteran, Diamond was inducted into the Veterans’ Hall of Fame at American Legion Post 136 this year in recognition of his exemplary military service.
