HUDSON VALLEY WINE MAGAZINE JOINS EFFORTS OF FOOD & BEVERAGE ALLIANCE

Publication becomes founding member of organization

NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (July 30, 2012) – Hudson Valley Wine Magazine, the only publication dedicated to celebrating the unique wines and spirits of the region, has joined the Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance.

The magazine, which is printed twice per year and is featured at over 150 locations in the tri-state area, focuses on educating readers on the wineries, distilleries and breweries of the Hudson Valley. The full-color publication is distributed free of charge and is printed on recycled paper.

“As long-time advocates of the region’s wine and spirits industry, Hudson Valley Wine Magazine is proud to be a founding member and support the Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance,” said Bob Bedford, Executive Editor of Hudson Valley Wine Magazine. “We believe that strengthening the partnerships between these key industries is essential for the region’s growth and to create awareness, promote tourism and increase productivity – all which will help power the region’s economy.”

The top goal of Hudson Valley Wine Magazine is to introduce consumers to locally crafted wines and spirits by offering an insider’s view to the people and stories behind their production. The magazine also includes articles about many of the region’s most popular grape varietals, including Baco Noir, Seyval Blanc and Cabernet Franc, as well as features and columns written by local chefs, food writers and wine experts.

“Hudson Valley Wine Magazine’s mission of bringing attention to the wine and spirits industry in this region is very commendable,” said Mike Oates, President and CEO of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. “We are very happy to be working side by side with an organization that benefits the Hudson Valley area and its residents, and are excited to spread awareness of the outstanding wineries, distilleries and breweries that call our region home.”

The Food & Beverage Alliance focuses on helping food and beverage companies in the region work together as strong partners and market their products all over the United States. Launched by Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. (HVEDC), the organization includes food businesses, farmers, vegetable growers, beverage makers, distributors and other organizations in the industry.
