MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (October 18, 2019) — Braemar at Wallkill, one of the region’s newest assisted living facilities, has announced it will hold a Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Class conducted by Hudson Valley Home Health Care LLC from October 28 through November 15 at 21 Riverside Drive in Middletown.
Hudson Valley Home Health Care’s HHA Training Class is designed to help those interested in becoming an HHA prepare for the everyday realities that the job entails. HHAs primarily provide personal, hands-on care to assist elderly or disabled individuals with basic daily tasks – such as assisting with bathing, medication reminders, brushing teeth, etc. – in their homes, and work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). HHAs also help monitor the health of their patients and ensure their safety.
Anyone interested in completing the class must fill out an application and have an interview with the RN Instructor. To fill out an application, or for more information, contact Denise Howard, RN, at 845-695-5600.
